We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician to join our IS Client Services team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users within our organization. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring software applications, and maintaining computer systems and peripherals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users via phone, email, and in-person
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems
  • Set up and support user accounts, permissions, and security settings
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure efficient and effective support services
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and resolutions
  • Assist with the procurement and inventory management of IT hardware and software

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in desktop support or a related role
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other desktop applications
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and network protocols
  • Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical users
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • A+ certification or equivalent is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
