We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Copy Editor to join our team remotely. As a Copy Editor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and overall quality of written materials before they are published. You will work closely with the content team to review and edit various types of content, including articles, blog posts, social media posts, marketing materials, and more.

Responsibilities:

- Review written content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, and style adherence

- Ensure that written materials adhere to the company's brand voice and guidelines

- Collaborate with writers and content creators to provide feedback for improvement

- Perform fact-checking and verify the accuracy of information

- Edit content for clarity, coherence, and organization

- Identify areas for improvement in writing style and suggest revisions

- Ensure consistency in tone, language, formatting, and style across all materials

- Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend improvements to the editorial process

Requirements:

- Proven work experience as a Copy Editor or similar role

- Excellent command of the English language with strong editing skills

- Attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work

- Proficiency in using editing tools such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs

- Familiarity with style guides (such as AP Stylebook or Chicago Manual of Style)

- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision while meeting deadlines

- Strong communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback

- Prior experience working remotely or in a virtual team is a plus
