Job Description:

is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Industrial Electrician Supervisor at its underground zinc operation. Located within 2-hour drive of The Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario shoreline, the Adirondack Mountains and world class skiing at Lake Placid. Explore Canada with Montreal and Ottawa only 2-3 hours away.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the electrical team.

Prioritize, coordinate and layout work for the day.

Inventory, schedule, and order materials and supplies for upcoming work.

Assist with troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, including PLC panels, drives, motors, fans, VFD’s, transformers, pumps, and generators.

Work with 4-20 mA, 4160, 13.8, AC up to 480v, 5kva, DC voltages

Read and follow prints.

Assist the electrical team underground and on surface as needed.

Capacity to develop knowledge of hoisting/crushing operations – troubleshoot same.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.

Minimum 3 years in leadership role.

Ability to communicate effectively with other department managers and employees.

Time management skills.

PLC experience.

DC/AC/Drive experience.

Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his/her duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Must be able to perform the work without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others due to the safety sensitivity of tasks.

Ability to work in the US.
