Python Developer with .NET Experience

Job Description

Looking for resource how has knowledge on python and .NET.

• Providing support to the Product and Portfolio Manager to meet the overall objectives of the team and more widely the group.

• Defining the business requirements and process requirements to support the delivery of the Trading functions for AEMO in both the National Electricity Market and the Western Australian Energy Market.

• Working consistently with the IT strategy in providing this service, moving to and leveraging a dev ops operating model as appropriate for the Spot Trading teams and the resources available.

• Designing, developing, building, testing, and deploying systems / processes to support the delivery of these functions; and

• Conform and Shell IT standard and Information Security compliance when working on each phase.

• Guide members of the IT Trading Systems squad.

• Providing as needed out of hours support for the trading systems.

• Providing the integration point with the wider development team when projects require resources beyond the capacity of the trading development team; and

• Supporting the delivery of energy trading services within the business by supporting energy trading processes.

• Understanding business requirements, pilot and prototype new solutions and technologies, including procurement, setup, development, demonstration

• Support Projects and Support teams in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including Requirements Gathering, Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Implementation, and Production support for software systems.

• Adequate documentations of each software development lifecycle phase

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

· Medium level of experience in successfully providing application support / development and solutions design in a corporate setting.

· Experience in supporting a diverse application landscape, including change management, application testing, data integrity management, patch management and end-user support and training.

· Experience designing or changing business critical reports/processes to gain full value from technology solutions.

· Experience working with Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.

· Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team.

· Power and Energy Trading industry working experience (NEM, WEM). If possible

· (Preferred) Knowledge of the working of the Gas markets and Gas Pipelines, their trading functions and associated data.

· Experience with and knowledge of advanced development concepts and languages such as C# and SQL (preferred), C++, Java, Python, etc., as well as appropriate development patterns and architectures;

· Strong communication skills to explain in IT and non-IT terms depend on recipient's background

· Knowledge and Experience applying Agile and Dev Ops practices to Software Products;

· (Preferred) Knowledge of the workings of forward trading operations and hedge contracts;

· (Preferred) Knowledge of forecasting and risk concepts;

· (Preferred) Knowledge of bilateral agreements, gas supply and transport agreements;

· (Preferred) Knowledge of the operation of electricity generators and transmission equipment is very highly regarded.

· Demonstrated experience supporting energy trading operations.
