Job Description

SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred; B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) One year of nursing experience preferred and D) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below.


Life Support Certifications Required: 1) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days; 2) Pediatric Emergency Assess, Resuscitation & Stabilization (PEARS) within 12 months.


POSITION DETAILS: Full time (72 hours per pay period), Day shift, clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, closed on weekends and holidays.


PAY RANGE: RN I $33.65 - $61.20 / RN II - RN IV $36.00 - $61.20
