In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals, administrators, and IT teams to ensure that health records are properly managed and protected. You will also play a key role in promoting the use of electronic health records and implementing new technologies to improve health information management processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of health information within the designated area
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrators to develop and implement effective health information management strategies
• Maintain and update health records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
• Train staff on proper health information management practices and procedures
• Monitor and audit health information systems to identify and resolve issues or discrepancies
• Troubleshoot technical problems related to health information systems and work with IT teams to implement solutions
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in health information management and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related field
• Certified Health Information Management Professional (CHIM) designation
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other health information management software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
