We are looking for a talented and experienced Software Security Engineer to join our team. As a Software Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining software security protocols and best practices to ensure the safety and protection of our software systems and applications. In this role, you will be working closely with our development team to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats and develop effective solutions to prevent them. The ideal candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, knowledge of industry-standard security protocols and tools, and be able to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain effective software security protocols and best practices.
• Perform security assessments and vulnerability testing on software applications and systems.
• Develop and implement security controls to prevent cyber attacks and data breaches.
• Work closely with the development team to identify and remediate potential security vulnerabilities in software applications and systems.
• Assist in developing incident response plans in case of cyber attacks or data breaches.
• Monitor and investigate security incidents and breaches to identify root causes and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends and technologies to continually improve software security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Software Security Engineer or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Java, Python and Go.
• Experience with web application security protocols (e.g. SSL, TLS, HTTPS).
• Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems and vulnerability scanners.
• Deep understanding of security principles, protocols and technologies such as encryption, authentication, authorization, and PKI.
• Experience with cloud-based security solutions such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
