Apprenticeship - UAV Mechanical Technician (NAPS)

Job Description

THE ROLE IS AN APPRENTICESHIP ROLE FOR A DURATION OF 11 MONTHS, THUS WE ARE SEEKING FRESHERS ONLY!!

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in drilling, reaming, grinding, tapping, riveting, helicoils insertion & removal, torque application etc.

• Familiarity with Composite materials and manufacturing processes including layup and structural bonding

• Awareness of usage of measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, Feeler gauges, Micrometers etc.

• Ability to read and understand 2D & 3D drawings and GD&T features in drawings.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical assembly and integration of the UAV.

• Assemble, install, rework and modify aircraft structural, mechanical, hydraulic and electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and systems.

• Make structural provisions for components installation in the UAV.

• Perform a variety of fasteners installation and structural integration operations including Installation of control linkages on UAV.

• Perform alterations and repairs including composite structural reworks as per design requirements.

• Perform visual inspection of all components and finished subassemblies and maintain good quality of work with minimal errors.

• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including adhering to 5S practices and proper handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipments.

• If required, should travel to field testing locations for testing support, problem diagnostics and field repair activities.
