Job Description

The Engineer in Mechanical Systems is responsible for spearheading complex mechanical system design and integration. A technical expert along with proficiency in CAD Modelling including Parametric Surface modelling. This role requires a profound understanding of the core principles of mechanical engineering, with an emphasis on designing state-of-the-art solutions for challenging applications such Aircraft/UAV design.


JOB DESCRIPTION

● Design of Complex Mechanical Systems: Good in sketching and CAD modelling. Basic understanding of design & how things work. Knowledge about Top-Bottom assembly, Parameterisation, Relations between parameters. Surfacing & Advanced Surfacing.

● Design Management: Manage the lifecycle of product designs from ideation to realisation. Make design documentation, and ensure comprehensive 3D CAD design documentation, including specifications and product manuals, with adherence to GD&T standards.

● Component Selection and Manufacturing/Sourcing: Select appropriate hardware components to ensure designs are producible and scalable. Provide knowledge on tooling, fabrication methods, and assembly. Dive deep into tolerance stack-ups to guarantee design

robustness and assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers and vendors for specialized mechanical components after training.

● Quality and Reliability :Champion the application of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups to ensure consistent quality across design iterations and manufacturing batches. Uphold the highest standards of quality throughout the design process and investigate and resolve any quality issues arising from design or manufacturing processes. 

● Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of CAD design to facilitate troubleshooting and future development.

● Cross Functional Team : Interact with cross functional teams to understand the respective designs details


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

● Diploma in Tool design, Mechanical, Bachelor's degree in Aerospace engineering, Mechanical or a related field.

● Proficiency in Parametric Surfacing in CAD softwares such as Creo or Catia. PTC Creo and Windchill experience would be preferred.

● Good in kinematics & Statics

● Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
