Engineer I Certification (External Testing and Regulation)

Job Description

Role:

We at ideaForge Technology Limited are looking for a perfect candidate who can be the best fit for the role of Engineer I – Certification (External testing & Regulations) in the Certification Function of the Research and Development Department. The Role involves testing the EUT w.r.t. different Test standards as per the requirements and industry practice. It also  involves study of various regulatory requirements for the UAS in India and International.

The candidate will have a very good opportunity to directly collaborate with V&V Engineers, Design and Development Engineers, Prototype Engineers, Lab Managers, Certification Bodies etc.

Skills:

• Strong Knowledge of JSS 55555, MIL-STD, BIS, IS, IEC, ISO standards.
• Strong Knowledge of understanding the Eco-System of NABL and other Govt. Approved Laboratories.
• Strong Negotiation and Convincing Skills.
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Applications.
• Strong Engineering Basics (Mechanics and Electronics).
• Strong Interpersonal, Decision Making and Prioritization skills.
• Strong Documentation Skills and Record Keeping.
• Good Risk Analysis and Problem-Solving skills.
• Flexibility to travel to and work with external laboratories as demanded by work activities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross functional team members to obtain an in-depth understanding of the Product, Various Test Procedures and generating the Requirement Sheets and Test Reports.
• Understanding the Requirements through Tender Documents, Scheme Documents etc and identify the Laboratories accordingly.
• Plan and Execute the Tests as per Test Standards and Test Protocols at III Party Labs.
• Active involvement in collaborating with Lab Manages / in-charge to explain the product functionality, test requirements and test executions.
• Conduct thorough and Error free reviews of III Party Lab Test Reports.
• Active Involvement in taking the responsibilities and identifying the risks in internal and external Audits.
• Active involvement to provide suggestions / recommendations for regulatory requirements (UAS Schemes, BIS, WPC etc)
• Responsible for PRs and coordination with the accounts / finance team.
• Responsible for inventory management.
• Support the internal team members on the international drone regulations. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B. Tech) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 4-6 Years of Experience in Technical Compliance / Certification Field at NABL, BIS, Govt. accredited Laboratories etc.
• Exceptional Understanding of regulatory frameworks.
• Proven Experience with product testing and process analysis.
• The ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing.
