Engineer II - ESC design and development

Job Description

• Design and develop Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs) for UAV applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Conduct simulations and modeling of ESC performance under various flight conditions.
• Develop and implement firmware for ESCs, ensuring robust communication protocols with flight controllers.
• Perform thorough testing and validation of ESC prototypes, including thermal, electrical, and mechanical assessments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ESC performance and integration.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.

Person should have:

• Proven experience in the design and development of ESCs or similar electronic systems.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, motor control, and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with UAV dynamics, flight control systems, and RF communication protocols.
• Proficient in CAD tools for circuit design (e.g., Altium, Eagle).
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) for modeling and analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Knowledge of safety standards and certifications related to UAV systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for UAV operations.
