Job Description
Role Focus
Own execution within technology domains — benchmarking, external partnering, integration validation, and roadmap data ownership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Domain Benchmarking — Continuously assess the domain''s in-house/sourced technology against industry benchmarks
2. Domain Market Input — Feed domain-specific competitive and customer signals into the overall investment strategy.
3. Technology Access & Integration Enablement — Identify, vet, and onboard OEM partners/design houses for the domains; share requirements; qualify PoCs and validate integration before handoff to commercialization.
4. Capability Enhancement (Next-Gen Scouting) — Track emerging technology and next-gen developers within the domain; recommend partnerships to enhance existing capabilities and feed the domain''s 1–5 yr roadmap.
5. Roadmap Data Ownership — Maintain the domain''s generation ladder, gen-drivers, and design metrics; keep gen-on-gen data audit-ready.
Skills & Competencies
● Cross-Domain Agility — Ability to work across multiple technology domains without needing deep specialization in any single one.
● Internal Collaboration — Partners with in-house engineering/Tech Leads to mature technology from concept to integration.
● External Stakeholder Engagement — Builds and influences relationships with external stakeholders (OEM partners, product suppliers, design houses) for effective engagement and partner outcomes.
● Technical Grounding — Working grasp of the underlying technology, with exposure to systems engineering (preferred).
● Technology & Market Analysis — Analyzes technology evolution and market trends; translates findings into capability-enhancement recommendations for the domain roadmap.
Qualifications & Experience
● Education — B.E./B.Tech in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or allied discipline); MBA preferred.
● Experience — Minimum 4 years in total in engineering and/or a mix of engineering and businees roles/external stakeholder engagement.
● Domain Exposure — Preferable working knowledge of systems engineering relevant to the assigned technology domains.
