Job Description
As a Verification and Validation Engineer II at ideaForge, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance for our advanced drone systems. Leveraging your extensive experience, you will lead the verification and validation efforts, ensuring our products meet or exceed industry standards.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive Verification and Validation (VnV) strategies for drone systems.
• Design and implement automated test frameworks utilizing industry-leading tools and technologies.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of product requirements, creating exhaustive test cases and test scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thorough test coverage and alignment with design specifications.
• Investigate and report defects, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
• Lead the compliance efforts with international and Indian standards governing drone systems.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications or specialized training in Verification and Validation is a plus.
2. 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Verification and Validation within the aerospace/drone/automobile/medical device industry.
3. Expertise in drone avionics, control systems, and navigational technologies.
4. In-depth understanding of international and Indian standards governing drone systems.
5. Proven experience in leading compliance efforts with industry-specific standards and regulatory bodies.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, combined with strong analytical abilities.
Awareness:
As a Verification and Validation Engineer II, you must demonstrate an in-depth understanding and practical application of various international and Indian standards related to unmanned aerial systems.
Your familiarity with these standards is essential in ensuring that our drone systems comply with industry best practices and legal requirements.
You will be expected to actively apply and stay up-to-date with the following standards:
• ISO 21384-3:2020 - Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UASs) - Part 3: Operational Procedures:
o Understanding of operational procedures and protocols for safe UAS operations.
o Application of ISO guidelines to verify and validate operational aspects of our drone systems.
• DGCA''s Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) related to Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS):
o Thorough knowledge of the specific CARs applicable to RPAS operations in India.
o Ensuring that our drone systems comply with DGCA''s regulatory requirements.
• ASTM F38 Committee Standards for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS):
o Familiarity with ASTM standards relevant to UAS design, operation, and safety.
o Integration of ASTM guidelines into our V&V processes to guarantee adherence to industry norms.
• EASA''s Regulations for Drones:
o Awareness of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency's regulations pertaining to drones.
o Ensuring that our products meet or exceed EASA''s regulatory expectations.
