Job Description

Responsibilities: 


1. Would be responsible for Battery pack design, wiring harness lay-outing and other electrical components packaging in battery packs i.e. - PDU, BMU, BCU, Relay, Fuse, and Contactor for HVDC and LVDC. 


2. Selection of components for BMS like- contactors, current relays, connectors, terminals, swappable battery chargers, etc and BOM finalization. 


3. Selection of the Bus bars material and responsible for the design finalization etc.


4. Coordinating with a cross-functional team and providing technical support within the timelines to meet the project requirements. 


5. Preparation of DFMEA, FTA, DFM, and DVP as per product requirements. 


6. Responsible for creating CAD design in Creo parametric( Compulsory), Creo schematic( Compulsory), CATIA (desired)& solid works(desired)and preparing 2D drawings within the given timelines. And resolving the supplier queries for the drawing.


7. Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and problem-solving activities to ensure that products are of high quality and meet design and standards needs. 


8. Would support the production of the battery pack assembly and be responsible for providing immediate solutions for the production issues.


9. Cost Management: Work within budget constraints and seek cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.


10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices in wiring harness design.


Qualifications:


1. Bachelor''s or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Advanced certifications or specialized training in WHMA/IPC standards is a plus.


2. 5-8 years of hands-on experience in the design and development of battery pack & other subsystems in the automotive / aerospace or drone industry.


3 . Expertise in drone or aerospace electrical systems.


4. Good knowledge of BMS Selection, type charger, and battery cooling types. 


5. In-depth understanding of international and Indian standards governing drone/aerospace systems/Automotive especially AIS & MIL standards.


6. Problem-solving at system/vehicle level.


7. Good knowledge of battery testing and simulation. 


8. Knowledge of battery working, SOC, SOH, and cell characteristics.


9. Knowledge of the EMC & EMI at vehicle and component level.


10. Good knowledge of battery testing and simulation. 


11. Experience with Battery Testing, Equipment, and Simulations.
