Senior Project Manager

We are a cutting-edge drone company specializing in the development of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for various industries. Our drones are revolutionizing the way businesses operate, and we are seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to join our team.

The ideal Project Manager will have a proven track record in managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and sales, to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Formation and Leadership:

• Build a talented and diverse team by recruiting top engineers, designers, and specialists in aerospace, electronics, and related fields.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and goal-driven culture within the team.
• Mentor, guide, and develop team members, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with project objectives.
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and workflows to ensure efficient project execution.

2. Project Management and Strategic Leadership:

• Define and execute the roadmap for the design, development, and deployment of aerospace drones, aligning with company goals and market demands.
• Plan project schedule, maintain and track bill of materials, resource planning, infrastructure planning, milestone meeting planning and record keeping through business processes
• Lead and coordinate all phases of the product life cycle, from conceptualization to testing and certification.
• Set measurable goals, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and track progress to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.

3. Technical Oversight:

• Provide high-level guidance on the technical aspects of drone design, ensuring that products meet performance, safety, and compliance standards.
• Oversee development processes, including hardware and software integration, propulsion systems, avionics, sensors, and aerodynamics.
• Ensure rigorous testing protocols are followed to validate functionality and reliability.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the primary point of contact between the drone team and senior leadership, reporting on progress, risks, and strategic opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments, such as procurement, compliance, and marketing, to ensure cohesive operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with certification authorities and external partners to streamline the certification process.

5. Certification and Compliance:

• Lead the team through aerospace certification processes (e.g., FAA, EASA) and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices in drone technology and aerospace systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in leading teams, preferably within aerospace or defense-related projects.
• Strong expertise in aerospace or related project management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Ability to inspire innovation, resolve conflicts, and maintain high team morale.
• Familiarity with aerospace certifications and compliance processes.
• Technical understanding in drone or aerospace system development is a plus.
