Job Title: Graphic Designer (Tech Doc)

Location: Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra

 

Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Graphic Designer to lead our technical communication design efforts. The ideal candidate will not only possess exceptional design skills but also have experience in technical document/design, Illustrations, Infographics, storyboarding etc.


Key Responsibilities:

1.     Graphic Design: Develop high-quality graphics, illustrations, diagrams, charts, and other visual elements to accompany technical documents, ensuring accuracy and clarity of information.

2.     Collaboration: Work closely with technical writers, subject matter experts, and product managers to understand document / product requirements, provide design recommendations, and ensure alignment between visuals and content.

3.     Conceptualization: Translate complex technical concepts and information into visually engaging and easy-to-understand graphics/illustrations, maintaining consistency with brand guidelines and design standards.

4.     Storyboarding and Wireframing: Create storyboards, wireframes, and mock-ups to visualize design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders before finalizing visual assets.

5.     Image Editing and Enhancement: Edit and enhance photographs, screenshots, and other images to improve quality, resolution, and overall visual appeal as needed for technical documents.

6.     Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and QA checks of visual assets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to design specifications and project requirements.

7.     Documentation and Version Control: Maintain organised files, documentation, and version control systems for all design assets, facilitating easy access and efficient collaboration among team members.

8.     Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in graphic design and technical communication, and proactively seek opportunities to enhance the team''s design processes and capabilities.


Qualification: 

1.     Bachelor''s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.

2.     Proven experience (2 to 5+ years) as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in creating visual assets for technical documents or similar content.

3.     Expertise in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), as well as familiarity with diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Lucid chart) and more

4.     Solid understanding of typography, color theory, layout principles, and other design fundamentals, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.

5.     Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate design concepts and rationale, and incorporate feedback to achieve desired outcomes.

6.     Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and project requirements.

7.     Experience working in a technical or scientific environment is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to comprehend and visualize complex technical information.
