Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Digital WI & SOP Developer to create digital Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using Creo, Creo Illustrate, and Excel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing interactive, visually enhanced, and data-driven documentation to support manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop interactive and visual Work Instructions (WI) and SOPs using Creo Illustrate and Creo Parametric.
  • Create 3D models, exploded views, and animations to enhance instructional clarity.
  • Utilize Excel for managing BOMs (Bill of Materials), data analysis, and process tracking.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to gather accurate process details.
  • Convert 2D drawings and CAD models into digital step-by-step procedural documents.
  • Ensure standardization and compliance with company documentation and quality control guidelines.
  • Integrate digital WI/SOPs into PLM systems or MES platforms where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based dashboards, reports, and validation checklists for WI/SOP tracking.
  • Conduct review meetings with stakeholders to validate and finalize documents.
  • Continuously update and improve WI/SOPs based on feedback and process changes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency in Creo Parametric and Creo Illustrate for creating 3D-based documentation.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, including:
  • Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and macros for process tracking.
  • Data analysis and visualization (charts, graphs, reports) to support manufacturing documentation.
  • Automating WI/SOP tracking and revision control using Excel tools.
  • Experience in technical documentation, manufacturing processes, or assembly instructions.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOM structures.
  • Ability to interpret CAD models and generate exploded views & animations.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems (Windchill preferred) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to create user-friendly instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in the aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industry.
  • Exposure to augmented reality (AR) integration in digital work instructions (optional).

Location & Work Type:

  • On-site / Hybrid / Remote (based on company requirements).
  • May require visit to production sites for on-ground validation.
