Manager - Application Engineering (International)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Application Engineering Coordinator will support the deployment and customization of drone solutions for client use cases, ensuring systems meet performance requirements, integrate with customer workflows, and comply with regulations. This mid-senior level role blends technical expertise, client interaction, and application development, enabling successful delivery of drone-based solutions across industries.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Strategic Planning. Assist in the development of strategies for executing flight activities, by ascertaining the challenges and limitations of the operating environment.
• Trials, Demos & PoC. Conduct demos, field trials, and PoCs to validate drone solutions for clients and document performance benchmarks and suggest system optimizations.
• Regulations. Collaborate with the Product & Operations team to crosscheck international regulations and other requisite conditions based on end user requirements to undertake flight operations at various international locations.
• Compliance Oversight. Ensure strict adherence to SOPs and working practices in various activities to verify compliance and safety.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams. Work with internal teams involved in the product to gain in-depth knowledge, understand various test procedures, and generate comprehensive reports.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Collaborate with end-users, field operations teams and relevant stakeholders to identify problem statements. Also work upon quick mitigation and validate solutions.
• Continuous Learning. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to UAV systems to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of UAV systems, payloads, and real-world applications.
• 7-10 years of experience in flying/ working with UAV.
• Experience in UAV operations outside India.
• Strong understanding of UAV/ Drone regulations and Safety standards in USA, Canada & Europe i.e FAA, EASA & TCCA.
• Ability to translate client requirements into technical solutions.
• Good risk analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Applications.
• Ability to work at international locations as and when required.
• Proven track record of client-facing technical solution delivery.
