Mechanical Technician (On Contract)

Job Description

Drone Assembly:

• Assemble drone components including frames, motors, and propellers according to specifications and blueprints.
• Conduct pre-assembly quality checks of components to ensure they meet required standards.
• Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures to complete tasks.

Testing and Calibration:

• Perform functional testing and calibration of assembled drones to ensure they meet performance criteria.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical or electronic issues identified during testing.
• Document test results and maintain accurate records.

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Conduct routine maintenance on drones to ensure optimal performance.
• Repair or replace defective parts and components as needed.
• Keep detailed logs of maintenance and repair work performed.

Quality Control:

• Inspect and verify the quality of assembled drones before final approval.
• Identify and address any assembly defects or inconsistencies.
• Follow established quality control procedures and guidelines.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with engineers and other team members to improve assembly processes and resolve technical issues.
• Provide feedback on design and assembly improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in the drone industry.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Skills and Abilities:
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
