Prototype Development:Lead the fabrication, assembly, and testing of mechanical prototypes for drone components and systems, including frames, propulsion systems, landing gear, and payload mechanisms.
Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineers and designers during the prototyping process, offering insights into material selection, manufacturing techniques, and assembly methods to optimize performance and reliability.
Testing and Evaluation: Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of prototype components and systems, both in controlled laboratory environments and real-world conditions, to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Iterative Design: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to iterate on prototype designs based on test results, feedback, and emerging technologies, driving continuous improvement and innovation in drone mechanical systems.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of prototype designs, test procedures, and results, ensuring accurate records are kept throughout the development process. Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of prototyping equipment and tools, ensuring they are in optimal condition for use and adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians and interns within the Proto Lab, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for skill development and knowledge sharing.
