Job Description
Can perform composite part repair, fabrication, and modification using hand tools to produce an quality Aircraft products.
Works with composites products using pre-preg doing wet lay-ups & Vacuum bagging process.
Works with Gel-coat, Epoxy resins, carbon fibers, Kevlar fibers, Glass fibers and honeycomb materials.
Sands and grinds composite materials while wearing a full body suit.
Correct aircraft discrepancies involving composite repairs.
Bench assembles, and installs composites & Plastic components on aircraft parts.
Corrects discrepancies using information from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, or other documents as required.
Uses manufacturing planning, written instructions, schematics, blueprints and other applicable technical data to repair, fabricate and modify composite structures.
Uses appropriate stamp to sign off completed work to include manufacturing planning, inspection discrepancy records, product assurance records and applicable program documentation.
Impart training to new joining candidates in Lay-up and Assembly process.
Keeping material’s stock records and arranging for materials shortages on time.
Training external Venders for detail manufacturing process.
Controlling In-process Quality at each step of process to avoid rejections.
Exploring with new ideas, material and doing trials to improve product efficiency.
Maintain a clean, safe and healthy work area.
Other duties may be assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
Aviation composite experience.
Aviation mechanical experience.
Ability to read and interpret part drawing, engineering drawing and technical specification.
Familiarity with various pieces of ground support and test equipment required.
The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate is required.
General written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to get along with others or to be part of a team.
Regular attendance at the workplace.
