Finance Controller

Job Description

Role Purpose

The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls. The role will support strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial insights and maintaining robust financial discipline across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
• Ensure timely closure of books of accounts and statutory compliance.
• Monitor budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Strengthen internal financial controls and compliance frameworks.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Drive working capital management, cash flow monitoring, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Support business teams with financial analysis and strategic inputs.
• Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory requirements.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.

Key Requirements

• CA having done articles from Big 4 or Grant Thornton or BDO / MBA Finance – not less than 2 years course
• 8–15 years of relevant experience in finance controllership or corporate finance but not accounting function
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Experience in manufacturing / logistics / infrastructure industry preferred.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Good communication skills
