Our company is seeking a Trainee Shop Manager to join our team and learn the ropes of managing a successful retail operation. As the Trainee Shop Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. You will assist in ensuring that the shop is clean, well-stocked and well-organized, and you will help create a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking inventory, managing scheduling and assisting with employee training and development.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the shop
• Collaborate with the team to ensure that workspaces are clean, stocked and well-organized
• Assist in training and development of employees
• Learn and understand the company’s product lines and ensure that employees are knowledgeable about the offerings
• Assist with scheduling of employees, ensuring that all shifts are covered
• Assist customers with product recommendations and ensure that customer service expectations are met
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and company policies to provide exceptional service

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant degree is a plus
• 1-2 years of retail experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time
• Ability to think critically and problem-solve
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail inventory management software.

Skills
