Job Description

Data Entry & Record-Keeping

  • Accurately input financial data into accounting software and internal databases.
  • Maintain and update records for customer accounts, invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Systematically scan, file, and organize financial documents to ensure efficient retrieval and compliance with record-keeping policies.

Accounts Receivable Support

  • Process, verify, and post customer payments received via cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • Reconcile payment discrepancies and assist with resolving account issues as needed.

Financial Data Management

  • Calculate and verify figures to ensure accuracy in data entry and financial postings.
  • Assist with generating reports and summaries related to financial transactions and customer accounts.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Data Entry Proficiency: Exceptional accuracy and speed in entering data with minimal errors.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Professional and clear communication when interacting with customers and team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software and related computer applications (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, document management systems).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven experience in data entry, accounting support, or a similar administrative role.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (specific software can be listed here if applicable).
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
