We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Pharmacy Order Entry LTC EMAR to join our team. As a Remote Pharmacy Order Entry LTC EMAR, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of medication orders in a long-term care setting. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home.

Responsibilities

• Review and enter medication orders into the electronic medication administration record (EMAR) system
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of medication orders, including dosage, frequency, and duration
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify prescription information and resolve any discrepancies
• Adhere to state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures, when processing medication orders
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Monitor and report any potential medication errors or adverse drug reactions to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Assist in the development and implementation of medication safety initiatives to minimize errors and improve patient outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Active pharmacist license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy order entry, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
• Proficiency in using pharmacy order entry software and electronic medication administration record (EMAR) system
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
