Entry level - Data Analyst (Remote)

Job Description

As the Data Analyst, you will provide Analytical and Technical support to the Client Implementation team. You'll work closely with senior team members to assist with data processing and analysis as needed to support business analytic solutions that will create actionable insights and drive better decisions and performance for our payer and provider clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Working with Operations and Product Development staff to support applications/processes to facilitate the effective and efficient implementation/migration of new clients' healthcare data through the Impact Product Suite
• Processing and analyzing health care data using Impact standard warehouse methodologies and software
• Performing claims data mapping and validations
• Reviewing and analyzing client data via quality control processes for anomalies or other issues which could compromise product functionality
• Communicating data issues and discoveries with clients during the implementation process via written documentation, conference calls and occasional on-site meetings
• Documenting issues, resolutions and programming steps pertaining to the implementation process and client data
• Working with team members on managing the data implementation process from start to finish for clients
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or experience in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or MIS)
• 1-2 years of experience with health insurance, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry data
• 1-2 years of programming experience using SQL, SAS and/or Python
• Experience with claims data mapping and validations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile project methodology terminology and processes
• Client-facing experience
• Knowledge and awareness of standard practices for quality control, audit trails, and documentation
• General knowledge and exposure using SQL, dB Visualizer, AWS, Azure, other Cloud technologies.
• Exposure to non-relational databases and tools, such as Cassandra, Kibana, JSON, JAVA, Python, and Spark
• Demonstrated awareness of when to appropriately escalate issues/risks
• Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment
