Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our finance team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing various financial aspects of our organization. Your primary objective will be to ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping, compliance with accounting principles, and valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and daily financial transactions.
2. Bookkeeping: Perform accurate bookkeeping tasks, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports.
3. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and prepare detailed financial statements, reports, and projections for management's review.
4. Budgeting: Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets, providing insights on budget variances and cost-saving opportunities.
5. Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax documents and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
6. Auditing: Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to auditing standards.
7. Financial Planning: Support the finance team in long-term financial planning, forecasting, and cash flow management.
8. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
9. Compliance: Stay up-to-date with accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
10. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a related financial role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and the MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Integrity and a high level of confidentiality in handling financial information.
