Role Overview:

A Senior / Lead UX Designer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the software delivers a superior user experience, which in turn can contribute to user satisfaction, customer retention, and the success of the SaaS business.

As a Senior/Lead UX Designer for SaaS based products, you will be responsible for creating and improving the user experience and user interface (UI) design of our software product. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product specialists/managers, developers, and other designers, to enhance the overall user experience and drive user engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

·        User Research : Conduct user research to understand customer needs, pain points, and behaviours. Gather insights through surveys, interviews, and analytics to inform the design process.

·        Information Architecture : Develop effective information architecture, sitemaps, and user flows to ensure a logical and efficient user journey within the SaaS product.

·        Wire framing and Prototyping : Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and test usability with stakeholders and end-users.

·        User Interface Design : Design the visual effects and UI components of the SaaS product, maintaining a consistent and visually appealing design language. This includes designing icons, buttons, and other graphical elements.

·        Usability Testing : Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback and iteratively improve the product’s design. Analyze user feedback and adjust designs accordingly.

·        Accessibility : Ensure that the SaaS product complies with the accessibility standards (eg: WCAG) to make it usable by individuals with disabilities.

·        Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to ensure that the UX design aligns with the business goals and technical feasibility.

·        Documentation : Create design specifications, style guides, and design documentation to facilitate smooth collaboration and consistency in design across the product.

·        Stay Current : Stay updated with industry trends, UX best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance the product’s user experience.

Qualifications :

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (eg: HCI, UX Design, Interaction Design)

·        7+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably with a focus on SaaS products

·        Proficiency in design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, etc

·        Strong knowledge of usability principles, user-centered design, and design thinking

·        Familiarity with front-end development technologies and their impact on design

·        Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

·        Portfolio showcasing previous UX/UI design work for SaaS applications or SaaS based products
