Our company is seeking a highly skilled Specialist in Cyber Security Operations to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, and be responsible for the prevention, detection, and response to cyber threats against our company. As a Cyber Security Operations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced security technologies to ensure the protection of our company's information assets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse network traffic for signs of malicious activity.
• Manage and configure security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners.
• Provide technical expertise and support to other departments to ensure secure and effective operations of our network infrastructure.
• Investigate and document security incidents and breaches, and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training to staff on security best practices and policies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security threats and developments, and provide recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to identify and implement security measures to mitigate the risk of cyber attacks.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cyber security operations or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Experience with security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems and vulnerability scanners.
• Solid understanding of network security protocols and the ability to identify and analyze network protocols and traffic.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to emerging threats.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security are preferred, but not required.

Skills
