We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SR Fiber Splicer to join our team. As an SR Fiber Splicer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic cables and networks. You will be working on a variety of projects, both independently and as part of a team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber splicing and termination in both indoor and outdoor environments
• Install and test fiber optic cables and equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fiber optic systems
• Document work performed, including splice logs, test results, and other relevant data
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure successful project execution
• Maintain a neat and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained
• Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fiber optic splicing and installation
• Proficiency in fusion splicing and mechanical splicing techniques
• Extensive knowledge of fiber optic components and systems
• Strong understanding of OTDR and other fiber optic testing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret fiber optic schematics and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
